Synthetic fibers (filaments) are basic raw materials for threads and fabric manufacturing. Threads with different linear density are used for production of fabric with range of densities and forms of plating.

Polymers for 3D printing are used in form of filaments but with much higher linear density than for threads.

Synthetic fabric uses for prepreg manufacturing as a base for impregnation with different polymer binders. Final prepregs properties are determined by combination of certain polymer and fabric used for prepreg manufacturing.

Films and tapes, membranes, and paper are separate forms of synthetic semi-finished products which have most part of the same nature polymers fibers properties but they also have a barrier function.
