PEI
Polyetherimide/polyesterimide
Amorphous thermoplastic material with high mechanical strength and stiffness. Its molecular structure provides markable chemical resielence due to imide and ester links.
Features:
- semi-transparent material with amber color;
- V0 flame retardancy, FDA complies;
- stable under all kinds of radiation and under sterilization;
- perfect dielectric properties;
- High Tg=217°C and melting point at 247°C stand it out from other plastics as better material.
Applications:
- car spare parts (engine room);
- mediaca including surgical tools;
- electrical parts (sockets, boards, etc.);
- earospace industry (internal panels, cable insulation, bodies of electrical devices).
