PTFE, PFA, FEP, ETFЕ
Fluoro-polymers
This polymer class includes PTFA, PFA, FEP and each of them has certain peculiarities. All of them are chemically neutral, could be easily colored and have thermal stability in range of -190 °C ...+260 °C.
Features:
- PTFE: self-lubricating, low frictional material, excellent electrical properties;
- FEP: less thermal stability vs. PTFE, good chemical resistance, electrical resistance and mechanical stiffness, better transparency vs. PTFE;
- PFA: better thermal resistance vs. FEP, it has better strength in comparison to PTFE;
- ETFE: not so thermal resistant as other fluoro-plastics, stable up to +150°C, it is stiffer and more wear resistant than PTFE.
Applications:
- semi-finished products manufacturing;
- cable insulation;
- gilms;
- shells.
